PUPPPs, this hive-like rash has been described by its sufferers as something nightmares are made of. The PUPPPs rash can show up in the third trimester (as if you’re not already dealing with an expanding belly, lack of sleep, and the anticipation of meeting your baby😫). some people will suffer from this super itchy red rash of lesions, usually concentrated to the belly, but can spread to the torso and thighs. It doesn’t usually go any further and is sometimes mistook for another more serious condition, so it is always a good idea to see your medical provider if you start to develop any kind of rash.

PUPPPs, although a benign condition and will likely resolve on its’ own, can be super annoying. Once your healthcare provider has diagnosed you with PUPPPs you will likely be given one of the following remedies to help ease the discomfort:

🔸Over the Counter Steroid Cream

🔹Oral Antihistamine

🔸Prescription strength relief (last resort)

Other ways you can manage PUPPPs is by: 🔸Keeping your skin hydrated with lots of moisturizer

🔹Cold compresses

🔸Oatmeal baths

Have you suffered from PUPPPs? How did you cope? Let us know in the comments! 👇

Christina made our experience with our first born son so much easier and less stressful. She thoroughly and expertly answered our questions leading up to and during labor, lessening our worries tremendously.

We would highly recommend Christina to anyone looking for an educated, kind and caring person to support them through their journey.
